Review on Michael Kors Oversized Runway Watch from METRODEAL

METRODEAL voucher for a Michael Kors Oversized Runway 8077 Watch from Pentahunt Inc.

Lately, I haven't had the time to write or do a review of any product/service since I've been busy with work and business but I promise to go back to my blogging days one of these days :-)

Today, I desperately need to spare some time to write so I can share with you another unfortunate event which resulted from my purchase of a Metrodeal voucher. In fact, this is my 2nd "unfortunate" experience with them and I truly hope that after all this, I would have learned my lesson and will never again purchase from Metrodeal.

I purchased one of their deals last July 2013. The deal was for a Michael Kors Oversized Runway watch with voucher deal amounting to PHP 8,880.00. I chose Style Number 8077 which has a gold color. To make sure that it's authentic, I even sent an sms to the merchant: Pentahunt Enterprises (Mobile No: 0907-7000822) to ask if it's authentic and they replied "yes" using a different number (Mobile No: 0927-2161173). Printed on the voucher deal was the merchant's name and business address:

It was August 31, 2013 when the watch was delivered to our house but it has a white face instead of what should be a gold face, however, the watch still has the style number 8077 on it. I wasn't expecting an MK 8077 with white face so I checked online and also asked a few legit online sellers and it was confirmed that MK 8077 only has gold face. 

I then immediately reported the incident to Metrodeal and requested for them to refund my money. However, they insisted that they will work with the merchant to replace the item with the correct watch (with gold face) and that they'll just pull out the watch with the white face. It seemed that the merchant made it appear that I received a Rose Gold MK Watch with Style No. 8313.

I replied that I received MK 8077 but with white face, not MK 8313. On a separate email, I sent pictures of the watch which I received.

I told them it's okay to replace the item but they need to make sure that they will not deliver another fake MK watch because after delivering the watch with white face but with MK style number as 8077, I will need to authenticate the 2nd watch they'll deliver just to be sure that it's truly authentic. They said the merchant was okay with it. Somehow, my heart has been broken already...but still, crossing my fingers.

A  couple of days later, they pulled out the watch with the white face and replaced it with a gold face MK watch still with style number 8077 (this time, there was no box and manual). The item was just wrapped in plastic.

I had the watch authenticated online - compared markings, clasp, bracelet, serial markings, etc.The watch sold by Metrodeal (from Pentahunt Enterprises) was obviously fake.

It was August 15 when I informed Metrodeal my request for a refund and they told me they can't process the refund unless the item has been pulled out by the merchant. The item since then has been ready for pull out but no courier has pulled it out yet.

I've sent 2 follow up emails to Metrodeal and they keep on saying the watch needs to be pulled out first before refund process can start.

How can the refund process start if they don't have any intention of pulling out the fake item?

I don't know how many people purchased the voucher and experienced the very same thing. All I can remember is that more than 40 people purchased it.

Earlier today, I've already filed a fomal complaint to DTI. Now, if anyone has the same issue, you may log your complaint first to: CWD-BTRCP <CWD-BTRCP@dti.gov.ph>, wait for their reply and then follow their instructions.
